after speaking with Marco yesterday i dont want to use the uprated cover and with my power dont think i need it

i know steve i have purchased off mike before

but mike also sells them for Ł370 odd

and i dont need/want the uprated cover

i got the plate for Ł175 and the standard cover is a little under Ł100

I think if you are going to use the standard cover, then you are making a BIG mistake that you WILL regret later. The original Ford clutches used to be made by Borg Warner (AP) and were good for nearly 400bhp with the Alcon plate. However, Ford recently change to using Sachs and this clutch slips at 350 . Ignore this advice at your financial peril later on .

As I said, Marco's advice would have been spot on not long ago, but he may not realise that Ford changed suppliers on the clutch and it is now shockingly bad - why do you think you can pick up a complete standard clutch for Ł100 ?

You have obviously NEVER tried the Alcon cover and plate, because if you HAD, you would not be saying that - everyone is amazed that has ever tried this set - just ask around . It is NOT like the 4-plate paddles .

Mike-R has a point, the Alcon cover & plate are SUPERB......Virtually as light in pedal feel as a standard item - but handles 438 ft/LBS torque no problem
