Default Throwing some strange project ideas about...

don't know why as i've got more than enough on at the mo but i'm bored tonight
I've always wanted to build a rwd bike engined robin reliant nothing fancy, just a motorbike engine bolted in, welded diff, a cage and a bucket seat, then hopefully a piece of clear perspex in the floorpan and a wheelie bar
has/can it be done? for reasonable money?
like i say i have no idea why, just reckon it would be hilarious

R1 engined mini's are awesome, although theres a few of them about, i already have a mini that i'm building with a top spec A sieries, you can buy the kits for R1 engines so thats too easy
proabably not going to happen for a while yet anyway until i can get the mini out of the garage, then my mum wants me to build her a 2CV
what would it entail? a fancy cage/frame and then fabrication of mounts?
the shell is basically fibreglass so that bits easy.

my neighbour had one and rolled it 3x times with a std engine, you really cant drive these quick, not as much fun as you would think... do a mini with 4x corners instead LOL

Was a 'busa turbo engine Bond Bug in one of the mags a couple months back, ex-cossie onwer too IIRC.

Same principle as your suggesting, just a fuck load faster. Plenty of similar things have been done in the past.

Wouldnt be too hard, all things considered.
