that made ours seem like a walk in the park,so proud of you nicole,just glad our lass had a c section,over and done with in an hour. don't think she could of gone through all that.

congrats to you both, nikki went through a real bad birth too when Elise was born, the feelings you go through when you see it all , you wanna get involved to help but you know all its gonna do is get worse if you did so you have to try and keep her calm which is very hard
when Elise was born i wasnt even given a choice to cut the cord, baby was taken to the little desk with air ect to check condition and Nikki was being sewn up, she needed a cut too for the shoulders,,,,,, ill NEVER forget the noise made !
hope like us everything is easy forwards from now on

the mrs had something along those lines with junior, but she was on in for about 5 hours so god knows what 55 hours odd would have done to her
the thing is, as parents, we see these things and think "oh no
what if.... what if... what if..." whereas the peole who do the job day in day out seem so calm and relaxed and "been there, done that, got the tshirt" attitude and probably see the same worried looks every day, day in day out, as well as the relief at the end 
i didn't count the amount of stiches the wife had as i was told by the docrots to "stay by her shoulder and don't come any further down"
then they forceps and votuse'd junior out with some cutting and shutting, but i could never write it up as technically as you have
i suppose you'll be investing in one of these next eh stu:

the thing was nikki had no issues what so ever with the pregnancy, she was working till her due date and nothing apart from a bump, no pains, no morning sickness ( hence we never knew she was pregnant was a while), she never even had a bump for AGES, and it was a size 8 waist back then too, we thought the Elise turned cause the doctor was having a hard time feeling her tummy as she had a tonned tummy,,, but she never
she ahd to be induced though cause she was 2 weeks late and no sign of giving birth and it went down hill from there
even after the birth she had to stay i for 2 nights then went home, was feeling tired all the time, called the doctors who then confirmed THE HOSPITAL LOST HER BLOOD TEST, her hemooglobine was dangerously low and she was back in hospital for a week, had a few blood transfusions and they they was woried about something else
oh one thing i did do that was the BEST value for money, on the first night when Elise was born she was on a labour ward, they was about 8 women, Nikki was being ignored cause of her age by the nurses and the women and babies where all loud ect, nikki HATED it so we booked her into a private room for 80 quid a night, she was in there 2 days, when she went back they gave her the private room FOC for the week, had a tv, radio and i slept there most nights cause when i was there the nursed seemed to treat her better
sad thing i must admit is the reason we aint had anymore is cause of the issues with the birth, i couldnt handle it the way it was delt with and nor could nikki, we been told it would be easier but i couldnt do it
the thing i NEVER forget was when the von tuse ( suction thingy) poped off, sounded like a pop and it cast off a blood trailover the room and across my face, i had to keep nikki calm when i see that happen and act like every thing in cool
i remember when the doctors ( we had a team of 15 people in the room at the end !!! ) where working, i looked at the metal tray and was thinking " if theres ANY bad news im gonna reach for that and get him for killing my kid"
when i was handed my child i cryed cause i was soo angry and messed up in the head, i had some proper naughty thoughts and id ruined it for me if that makes sence
AFTER Ellise was born my mum then tells me she had problems giving birth and she had a older child who was still born but didnt tell me or my sister incase it worried us
turns out it runs in the family of me AND nikki and the doctors should have been told !!!
