I've got one and I adore it! Amazing supercar for peanuts money. They don't exactly go wrong, just need a lot of up keep and parts etc are expensive. If it's a speed6 stay well clear though. V8 engines are good for 40K miles plus though. It's only when you've had one for a bit that you realise how awesome they are.
Take a while to get used to them, driving position and view outta the letterbox is wierd and it's the only car i know with more view out of the back than the front? When you sit in it look over your shoulder and you'll see what i mean!
Total drift and smoke machine though that I adore though and you'd be silly not to get one. If you're a true passionate petrolhead you'll just understand the whole "TVR" thing when you get it, yep, it's a fancy kit car, but does 190+mph and puuls mental when you hit 3000 rpm.
Any questions just ask.
This is mine, just having the wheels refurbed though and interior retrimmed with sagaris seats and alcantara rooflining.

Oh, and ref letting the Escos go put it this way, if it's your everyday car then no. I was gonna get an Evo9, but my everyday car is an Octavia VRS which is still a 4 door saloon, like an Evo. I wanted something totally different to it, hence buying the Cerbera.
Just do it, It's a TVR Cerbera FFS, not an Escort! this'll upset people I know, but when you push the push button start in a Cerbera, feel the whole car shaking with 420 BHP under your right foot and pull away you'll just get it that your in a Supercar and not a shopping car.
Apologies if that sounds arrogant on a Ford forum, but after having owned 2 mag featured Escos's and now owning this it's just the way it is. All my views anyway.

brother had one, he grew to hate the heavy clutch - thats about all he could find fault with.
Oh, and the fact it scared him shitless when he floored it![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
Moved on to a t350, nice but not in the same league.

When my mate had his Pontiac mapped we went to Austec Racing in Crawley who just happen to be a TVR specialist and very well known by all accounts. I spoke to a few guys that had them and went out in a Cerbera. Very nice and the V8 sounds the nuts as its not like any other v8 and they are made by TVR and rev to 8K !!!!
They make a very real 420 horses out the box and go a lot more or if you really want to go mad, this company specialise in fitting the LS1 !!!!
They are very weel equipped and know there stuff on TVR's and for anyone that lives near Crawley, would have the perfect garage on there door step
Oh and they have just had a 100k Dyno cell built which is why we went over there
http://austecracing.typepad.com/
Here's a couple of pics of the Dyno cell when we were there getting the "Goat" Mapped

If anyone is close by them on the 6th Sept, cos they are having an open day and will be doing power runs all day. The "Goat" wioll be there on display as it made 630 (with gas)after the mapping session Quite mad watching the thing climb outa the rollers when the Nitrous was switched on and screen display would read, "Error, to much power"
Anyway, they are on the other end of here http://austecracing.typepad.com/

I've had a chimeara (sp?) 500 and loved it, cerbera is definitely on my list of cars to have one day.
As andy said, if you're truly a petrol head, you must have one at some point in your life, run it for six months and pass it on if you don't like it.
I'm glad I've had a TVR, I'd happily get another if funds allowed

Im just not sure If i could afford to run it mate,Cossies are cheap compared to them bad boys Red, its a funny one,I could buy one but running one is another thing, some one once said about TVR`s to me when I was last banging on about them that"you need to have what you paid for the car behind you for when it goes wrong" seems so true after researching the net about them.Just wish I bought one BEFORE the Escos thats all,Im gonna let it go for now.

I thought about a TVR cerbera before I bought the M3 Steven.......Do a search on accidents involving TVR's mate!! That put me WELL OFF!!!!!!!!!!
Very quick cars, look and sound fookin awesome but they are too unreliable, cost an absolute fortune to fix and are a complete death trap if crashed at speed!!!!
DON'T SELL YOUR ESCOS, YOU'RE NOT ALLOWED!!!

Buy one end of!
Must be the 4.5 though, it will be a real laugh to drive and no more un-reliable than a cossie as stated above.
My uncle had a SAGARIS from new in 05 and he had to probs with it.
1) the accelerator cable snapped
2) sometimes when in 5th gear the reverse light came on.
In 18 months of ownership that was it!.
