Mike, its probably not what you think it is. Its just a nice little plate that holds the cable straight and in place along the front of the engine bay.

Was good day, gutted I STILL haven't been able to drive the car at full chat and on proper rubber though.
Also saw THE worse piece of driving ever on a Track day though. A Single seater held me and Tiff up for almost 2 LAPS!!!!! he just would NOT move over at all or ever even get off line!!!!
There was a ten car traffic jam behind me as well!!! AND I kept seeing him looking in his mirrors as well!!! he KNEW we were all there 
Also saw THE worse piece of driving ever on a Track day though. A Single seater held me and Tiff up for almost 2 LAPS!!!!! he just would NOT move over at all or ever even get off line!!!!

when we got passed him down the back straight (well outside of coppice with full commitment really

That Alpha was the one I saw in my rear view mirror going foooking spastic coming through craner (he lost it twice)..... I thought foook that and pulled in to let him pass!
