Default question about burning a dvd?? clever people pls look in

right , ive got step up 2 on my pc and i want to burn it on to a dvd so my daughter can watch it .

at first when i played it , it had no sound ??

then i was told to dowb load a load of codecs and one of which was a ac3 filter thingy ?? for sound or something ?

then i double clicked it and it works no probs in windows media 11 .

when i was using Ashampoo to burn it at first it would fault it within 5 mins , then when i sorted the sound and thought id sorted it , it prepared it last night for about an hour and then just before it was going to burn to disc it faulted again !!!!

what am i doing wrong ??

Generally, as long as Windows can play a video file in its entireity, whatever DVD video mastering program you use should be able to make the disc properly, as they generally both use the same codecs for playing/transcoding the video.

I've not used this 'Ashampoo' - I'll get hold of it and see what's going on for you. I've used Sony's DVD Architect which worked faultlessly for me
