Default Ahmed Bayjoo Springs

Just bought some tidy koni shocks and springs off ebay [TF RALLYE SPORT] and i dont know the spec of the springs so rang a mate and he said dont put nowt else on yer saff but Ahmed Bayjoo springs. He told me to go on the website for Leda suspension cos they sell them But when you look on the site it says Leda use eibach. So does that mean that Bayjoo springs are eibach ones or not cos i am a bit confused unless i have my facts wrong

if you want your Saph to handle right fit them, also make sure those 2nd hand Koni's aren't worn out cause if they are the handling will be shite

Like most UK suspension manufacturers (if not all), Leda out-source the manufacture of their coil springs.

They have indeed, they are now based near Derby .

I now use John Stubbs at Black Art Design for suspension, as he has taken on my comments and has fitted high speed valves, where Leda (back in the day) weren't interested .

I don't even know if the new owners of LEDA know anything about the Ahmed springs, as when it went into receivership, a new company bascially bought the name and equipment and moved it to Derby. Ahmed was then given all the details so he could deal direct with the spring manufacturer that LEDA used for these items.

The springs you are looking at are more than likely the coil-over springs by Eibach, which is their preferred choice on the coil-over kits. If you want the springs that Ahmed does, then you will need to get them from Ahmed or myself .

So Mike if I understand correctly you aren't selling the Leda Ahmed springs anymore but you now sell some other brand with the Ahmed spec? I ask this because your site still says you sell Leda springs

The springs haven't changed in any way, shape or form, they are still the same manufacturer as LEDA used when Ahmed was purchasing them direct off LEDA, so rather than confuse people, I have kept the information the same . However, as you can see (as ever), I am being 100% open about everything I sell .

It depends what spec you go for, but you're looking at 10-20mm depending on model and spring spec.

You're welcome .

Not that I am aware of .

However, depending on your age, you will either never have heard of him, or know that he has always been at the fore-front of Cossie Tuning almost since their inception.

Well I'm 24 now so I only know the Cosworths as being cool fast cars on BTCC and DTM when I watched it on tv when I was 6 or something. Ofcourse as a Ford lover I spent a lot of time researching about Ford and Cosworth in the 80's particular and his name pops up at some places. Didn't he do something for Ford Motorsport back in the days.

[edit] Some little info's about Ahmed on zetecturbo.com http://www.zetecturbo.com/abprofile.htm [/edit]
