Default 4x4 intercooler

Just a bit of advice please .....If i could get a 4x4 intercooler for my 2wd saff very cheap is it a worthwhile mod or not worth the bother and will i have to modify the hoses in any way

Cheap worthwhile mod imo. Should go straight on, but get the car checked over afterwards in case it starts detting

Why would it cause it to det mate?

Mine detted its tits off when I swapped intercoolers( was a 2wd to 500 tho), you'll have denser air going in with the same amount of fuel.
Should get it checked over anyway everytime you do any fuelling/air charge mods imo, the price of a set up is waaaay less than a rebuild.

I've got one if you need one and the modified hose to the throttle body too. I fitted one to mine when I had it gunshipped.

NO they don't go straight on, the offside intercooler to rad mount is in the wrong place, just saw off this one and reweld so there is exactly 22" between hole centres and reweld, then push the bobbin down as you fit, goes straight on then.
I made it to be around 60% more area when I had a quick measure.
Good easy mod though.
