ELE was a great car....but it's now very dated and no longer up there imo. It's a good all rounder but nothing is jaw dropping amazing about it.
One 3dr that always looked great in pictures was johns old moonstone 3dr sat on its centre lock 18" BBS splitties....an extremely photogenic car.
I'm biased towards 3dr cossie's.....but in my defence there seems to be many well modded 3dr's out there......Renton, Karl Norris, Dan Lacy, Brom all own awesome 3dr's to name just a few.

I say this.
My brother used to work for Steve at A1. So we got a new Fiesta shell and let Steve put in the cage, tunnel, engine mounts (which we had to re-do), and points for the suspension.
Then me, my bro, and Dad. Stripped our GrpA Escort rally car, and started to build it.
My bro re-built the engine as he learnt shit loads at A1 and knows more than most about building YB's.
My Dad did all the work on the outside of the car. He's had a go at most things in motorsport. From building the first jet car in the UK (the Pinkpanther II), to rallying and so on.
And I built the interior.
Every time I walk in the workshop I look at it and I love it. Plus the time I spent with my Dad & bro building it, rallying it (even the bad times) are some of best times.
So that in a long winded way is why its my favourite car on this site.
Here's a pic I took the other day.

Rod why dont you get them all in for it and prove who is top at 0-60 top at 0-100 and who has the highest speedand best round a track?and get this out in the open if people dare to take you onsave all this bitching and get fast ford to be there to put into the magazinenow that would be a legendery issue

Now I have got a bit of car envy.
My old man has MkI shell with bubble arch's sat in his work shop & I keep trying to talk him into letting me build it with cossie power.

Already got all the parts. We run a rally team & have plenty of connections if I need anything made.
And as my Dad owns a garage, I have access to a ramp & tools. So thats not a problem.
Just my Dad being a tool & dragging his feet.
I think he wants to get his Saph back on the road.
Sure your not worried about competition????
Oh and those wheels on your car give me a bit of blood rush.

I think it would be a laugh to own rod's saph and take it to and from work at pace a few times. So that is one of my favourites.
Rainbirds escort is quality, just needs a bang bang 7 speed box so that you can REALLY go for it round the n.ring.
I like those minty 3 doors on the split rims, they look gorgeous and would be much fun to have one in the garage.
Simons green evo is a mental piece of kit. I would like to see it in action.
AG's car is a real crowd pleaser.
All in all though, none of them are better as an every day car than a nice cheap e46 m3
