I scrapped my first RS about 1 1/2 years ago. When I bought it I declared it SORN straight away. Any way I broke it and scrapped it sending the V5 off and proof of Scrapping.
Any way I Got a £100 fine for not telling them what is going on. I was fuming and posted a topic on here. Any way I wrote them a letter asking for written ways how they can prove that the error was not any thing to do with them and also sent the cheque to keep on there good side but stated 'Do not Cash'
any way got a letter stating apologies and here is your cheque back.

So dont sit back write them a letter it may just work.

how about 4 letters , 8 faxes and something like 40 odd phone calls plus 3 personal visits to the local law courts
all that for a parking ticket on a car i sold nearly 2 years ago and have proof of sale plus the dvla admit they received the documents but typed the owners details in wrong so the person doesnt exist
and they still want me to pay the £180 fine
