Nice, good luck getting it to work properly on XP though, you might need a CPU killer to slow it down.

I Dont think any of them will work on my pc. Vista x64. 
Going to install VMware and run it on 98.

Hated Tiberian wars - took pissing ages to get through a match....... Unless I played online, where I would get my arse handed to me within 30 seconds - usually by a pre-puscent teenager!

Used to play Red Alert accross our old Uni network all the time
Can anyone point out where I can get Red Alert for XP?
My old Windows 95 or 98 (not sure) version wouldn't even work on the next version of Windows so has been firmly binned a while back....

If i'm honest I used to prefer Starcraft to C&C,my boss has the latest version of C&C which works on Vista fucked if I know what it's called though.

You just need to get a copy of THE FIRST DECADE. the name give it away and its all xp compatible.
EA even have both original gdi and nod CD's WITH xp compatibility available for download on there website as .ISO's

I do like them too. Played most of them too. Really liked the early releases, the first C&C was sooo stunning! My pc couldn't run it back then so I often went to a friend to play at his machine
I'm one of the few people who even liked to play Generals but due time issues I never have finished C&C 3 completely. Don't even know if I find the time to play Red Alert 3 when it comes uit...Jenny McCarthy plays Tanya btw
I also played Dune 2 or was it 2000 but never liked that setting as much as the C&C games. Weird enough I did like Scarcraft a lot back in the days

more memories, i've still got a couple of more recent ones that i play and they work great you can turn um up silly fast on toadays pc though
lost plenty of hours back in the day playing this,
I remeber upgrading my pc to play it a long time ago- had too after i played it on an older spec pc and when i built up an army and started to attack the pc crashed- couldn't handle my massive arming all moving at once about half a day wasted if i remember right
