Guy at work just got canned

I'm gutted as we really good mates, and I'm gonna miss working with him a lot, and pissed off cos it was his own stupid fucking fault

Got caught stealing stock, the prick! First time he's ever done it, to my knowledge, and he got caught. I know it's unlucky, but he brought it on himself....

But I'm still gutted

Why do people do stupid things like this? I'm no saint, but I'm no thief either. And it's not like he needed the money either - it was just done on a whim and through stupidity (can't be arsed to go into the whole story)

Worse thing is, reason it was done was cos we aren't, by the books, allowed to buy stock, but if had just gone to our manager, she'd have bent to rules slightly and either sold it to him, or lent him it till he could get a replacement at a later date So not only was it stupid, but also pointless

This is one of those time we wish life had a "system restore" like computers do

shitter that. happend to a mate i used 2 work with. even tho he was a full blown crack head and off his tits every day in work he was piss funny!!.

used 2 smoke crack in the toilets next to the main office haha. ended up goin in the office at dinner an stealin 2 laptops in plain view of the camera's haha. got caught and charges pressed etc... not seen him since.

The sting of it is, all of us in our branch went out yesterday for a day out to Thorpe Park, which was nothing to do with work other than it was all of us from work - if that makes sense. We're all mates, most of the time, so of course she's (as in she - our manager) is gutted as a) it's not nice to have to give the boot to someone that you personally like, as "opposed to just a member of staff", and b) it's like personal betrayal, because the trust is there etc. So that makes it worse for her, so I'm gutted for her aswell...

I'm gutted for him as it's the first time he's ever done it, and I'm gutted as I'm gonna miss him....

Like I said, it's not like it was even the only choice he had! It wasn't like "I need to nick this as I can't pay for it, or won't pay for it" or anything like that. It's not even like it was so imperative to have it! It's just so stupid which makes it more annoying!

how true is that where i work

things such as staples, sellotape, even plastic fucking bags go walkies as soon as they turn up
and osme guys uniforms even go missing as soon as they've arrived at the office
now everythng is locked away and i'm the only one with the keys

looks like they are gong to can one of teh guys at my place too as well, but not for stealing, but he's had another shunt that he kept quiet for a few days and the other guy called up to find out what was going on and we said "no idea what you are on about"

i got given some tape measures 5 in all from a supplier just because he said,one of my lads saw him and heard him,took it upon himself to take one,saying to the apprentice "didnt cost him owt!",when i found out he got the bollocking of his life.

nothing in life is free even if you are told so,when i took him on i sorted all his hand tools out for nowt,he gets bugger all now!!

i feel sorry for your mate but we all know its wrong, in my job on an avarage day i have over half a million go through my hands on my own, no cameras etc and the reason i wouldnt take a bean is 3 kids morgage house etc, a colegue of mine got caught but the trouble is your all theifing gits untill they catch them.

i think a public stoning like in the middle east would put people off.
