Garath, I wear snowboard trousers, a jumper as a jacket gets a bit warm, and gloves. Dont go over the top with clothing or your cook, may be an idea to wear waterproff trousers as if you have never done it before your spend a lot of time on your arse! Have fun.

normally its either icey or slushy- slush is easier for learning on.
tis a right laugh though matey, just got give up if you can't get it straight away- normally takes a couple of hours to get confortable with.... -i've been boarding for 5 years on and off!- tis such a buzz, mroe so than the xr2t IMO!

kool matey- defo the best way of doing things- i learnt on dryslope, and was going for about a year before i went away with my uncle and mates! - its soo much easier on normal snow than it is ice, or dryslope- slush is ok, as you can work "with it" where as as is bloody nasty at speed lol!
you'll have a bloody good laugh anyways! - its much better going away havign the basci's down, so you can go and do your own thing, rather than being stuck in some plab like french ski-school for 3 hours a day where they teach you to turn again lol!
let us know how you get on!
