Default Universal easy replacement outer CV boots

Not seen these recently, but I know they exist and I havent dreamt it up as ive seen them with my own eyes in the past, lol

Basically, a replacement boot, but mega stretchy rubber than you can manage to get over the CV without taking it off the shaft, you have a kind of cone thing that you slide the boot over to open it up enough to get the small end wide enough to go over the whole CV then it shrinks back down to fit the shaft.

Anyone got any links to where to get them from, or specific makes to ask for etc, im assuming most motoring stores could get them with a decent enough description?

I'm sure they used to do a kit that was cut down one side or came in two halfs. You'd literaly glue the thing together before zip-tying both ends.
They had a reputation for being shit.

Would be useless for what im after, as its basically for an application where by it needs to be mega stretchy for in use, Im not actually bothered about ease of fitment, that was just the easiest way to describe them.

Ginge, that would be great, no massive rush

ive seen these before, i had to change one on a peugeot once but their shafts aint like normal ones with circlips. after spending ages getting dirty stripping it down i was left with 3 prong type things and still couldnt get the boot over them.
popped down to the garage down the road and he had the universal stretchy ones that he put on an air tool that opened it nearly enough to get it over my head let alone over a cv joint.
only charged me 4 quid for it aswell and gave me the grease and clips too.

worth sticking ur head in ur local garage chip, if they have them and the tool will make life even easier for ya and wont have to pay any postage or anything.

It wasnt for me anyway, was for a mate, he's got great contacts anyway for getting parts (see his website for prices, lol), I just needed confirmation they existed and what they were like to show him, as I was a bit unsure of how to refer to them etc, just remembered using them in the past and thought they would solve his problem with inner cv boots not taking the abuse they are getting on his car.
