At the company i work at we have two transit vans exactly the same but one goes a lot better than the other. The slow one seems to not come on boost as early as the quicker one and makes it hard work to drive..Any ideas please
plumber mate had one same as mine real thirsty loads of black smoke when booted had new injectors new ecu etc turned out after 18mnth it was a pinhole from a stone in the intercooler,if you look very susceptable to it no protection.try get a pressure test done??
Its had a new fuel filter and new pump and i checked hoses the other day it just seems to not come on boost till its past 3000rpm where as the other one comes on a bit earlier. Can you adjust this?
if its had bits already then just learn to live with it or it will cost a fortune changing bits that arent broke
Trouble is we tow a trailer sometimes with it and its fucking useless sowe have to swap vans for a day which is a nightmare. It does leak a bit of oil from the intercooler pipes could that be a shagged turbo?
Are they 1.9? I have an 03 plate 125ps and I thought it was a 2.0? Anyhow whatever the engine capacity it goes really well
Yeah you could be right martin..I have a 2.4 rwd swb 135ps transit and its a rocket ship pulls like a train but wont rev out in 6th gear stops dead at about 3000rpm in top

it limited then mate
mine did that when i got it. took it to ford and told them to remove the limiter. it will sit on the redline in 6th now
limited...yes kinda. if it wont rev above 3000rpm it sounds like its still in shipping mode from new. and yes as above ford can will turn this off for you. quite common you know.
As for the transit being sluggish, you really need to rev the shit out of it and double check for a split hose. if not connect to IDS (ford computer).
