its fine when it heats up. the car should never idle that high, so even if the coolant temp sensor is goosed surely that would not make it idle so high?

pull the plug off the iscv when u start it first thing, if revs rise then its working fine afaik, could it be the cold start comming on and when it heats up it idles proper?

replaced the iscv cos it was hunting on idle. was ok for a couple of months now doing the high idle thing. idle perfectly if you pull the plug off the iscv which was second hand when i bought it.

defo a problem when heating up cos when i eventually managed to get it started again there was loads of fuel smoke coming out of the exhaust.
does this means it had flooded itself?
ok now but when it was heating up it was running on three cylinders for a bit.
does this point to the engine temp sensor?
