Default Proxy Bypass websites

Needed for maria. has anyone used with success any proxy websites that allow you to get past restricted websites at work. we need some reccomended ones for mari to try.

please don't suggest remote access to a PC at home, it's not possible, we need a pure HTTP based solution that will go though her firewall/proxy.

depends on the proxy.
if it's wccp based then pretty much any anonymiser will work as they only monitor port 80 generally speaking.

I use this....

https://0x42.0x62.0x83.0xe5:15868

Its called PROXIFY but it has 1000's of entry points that dont use the word proxy !
(This is one of those anonymous access points)

Its a secure page using HTTPS and also using hex code for the IP address.

Most blockers wont stop this !!!

Works better if you suscribe to it though ...

Any corporate firewall/router worth more than 20 quid should spot any kind of proxy traffic and turn it into digital poo. Mine does I've also actively blocked anything that doesn't go out on port 80 that ISN'T http - anything trying to hide in port 80 that's not a website gets spat out.

Also bear in mind that if you're attempting to bypass a corporate security mechanism you're at risk of being reprimanded at the very least by your employer. Some of these 'proxy sites' can also use the same mechanism to bypass YOUR security to compromise YOUR network and connected computers.

cozmeister, not if the proxy website provides the content. unless it's examining the content on the page which not all of them do you can often find ways around.

That's true . Our url filter looks after that for us - does a lookup against the category list and lets the user know that the site's barred. I've yet to explore it's "Deep Inspection" capabilities though

But I do believe that anybody that reads this thread (and the few others that seem to have popped up recently) should remember that if they do it at work and succeed they might find themselves on dodgy ground if they're caught out.

why not do as i can do

i have free web access on my n95.

just plug this into the pc, and install nokia suite, and browse the web via ya phone

with 3G i can get VERY good speed, i had 500k (0.5meg) in the delivery suite after having lewin

they you can visit ANY website you want

and it's free

not rocket science

if they have any decent systems at bmw, you wont be able to do what you want, plain and simple, so just get web access on ya mobile and plug into the pc

Best thing I ever did, was, on my web hosting I installed phpproxy, took all of 15seconds to install .

It's free, and it works great! I have it under a folder on my hosting, added a .htaccess file and it's password protected too; so for very little effort I have my own (so it always works, no popups/advertising) proxy server. And when the IT man at work looks to see what this URL actually is, he can't find out as its protected!
