As above...

Anyone know any websites other than piston heads to get advice from?
Or can anyone on here tell me what to check for?

Vanos pumps fail and they are in the sump, which require huge labour to get to/replace. Higher mileage cars seem to be knocking out crank shells too.

Clutches in the SMG 'box go around the 80,000 mark, depending if it's been abused. Clutch kit is around £800 from BMW.

There's a full buying guide in next month's issue of BMW Car magazine.

Put the link up for the car your going To look at mate ??

I've had 2 M5's never had a single problem with either and Im on the hunt for another one..

providing they've been serviced had all recalls done etc they ain't to bad yes brakes clutches servicing is expensive but it's a 507 bhp capable of 204 mph so not going to be cheap to run

As for bottom ends knocking if think if it's been devices well you shouldn't have a problem my last m5 is currently on 100k miles and still drives like new

Ideally buy one that's had recent throttle actuators and clutch replaced

Good advice above, also get yourself onto the M5 board too.
Brakes aren't cheap either, so try and get one with recent replacements if possible.

This is the car.
It looks well looked after and the owner seems like a genuine enthusiast.

Awesome cars! I will be advertising mine on here and the normal sites at the end of the month as i just dont use it any more.

Just put my Eisenmann Race exhaust on pistonheads.

If i was ever in the market for another toy though i wouldn't think twice. Bang for buck they are awesome.

M5 Board is very useful for any info you need to know. There are some very clued up guys on there.

That does sound immense! I do find it slightly odd though, 'that' sound coming from a big saloon. You could almost half be forgiven for thinking it's a 90's F1 car lol

I really like the F10 M5 now, watching some vids the other day and some of the cars they can beat in a drag race is unreal.
