Sent the missus in yesterday and she returned with an £11 bottle of Planet oil.

Can't say I'm keen on sticking that stuff in my engine. The book recomends a 10-40 semi synthetic oil. Had Millers recomendend to me but my parts place only does Coma and Planet.

Any recomendations? (Bearing in mind I thrash the car a bit )

You can use the Silkolene ProS 10w-50 in these engines according to the Seat Leon Cupra R manual, so this is what my mate Charlie runs in his (used on track) .
