Watching the clip that Maria put up, Martin - Did you have the double neck protector on in the car? Or just one? Even then, did the locals/police ask why you were wearing such mad full on race gear when hanging about on their public highway?
As you know from my driving, this is not a dig or anything as I believe in flat out all the way - just interested. I was always thinking of stripping my car, caging it and wearing full race gear everywhere I went. Just wondered how hard it would be to convince the cops I wasn't (or in this case you) speeding even though I was wearing a crash hat, and full nomex suit on the public highway?

I was not wearing the neck protector whilst driving the car, I put both of them on after as I felt too good and was worried that adrenaline was masking something bad.

None at all, I did cut my head climbing out through the front screen though. I did have a weird thing going on inside my nose for a few weeks afterwards, like I had burst some blood vessels.

Okay matey - My friend had a wee crash on the motorway at about 80mph, hit standing water in a modern corsa, ate the barrier then the hard shoulder side barrier then the central barrier again. He had mega back pain instantly after the crash. His impact must have been mickey mouse compared to yours. I guess decent seats and harnesses make a difference to shonky vauxhall corsa seats!
