Ordered a replacement birth certificate for me and the missus the other day. Cost us £40 per certificate to have them within 7 days. Since found out I could go down to the registry office and get one same day for £7.

Emailed the company for a refund as said it was made in error, to be told, sorry its an automated process and we can't stop it. Surely I have some sort of rights or period of cancellation.

I'll bite the bullet if I have to, but its pissed me off they charge so much to begin with when local government have it capped at £7. Whats the other £33 spent on?

Their support don't seem to give a toss either.

Heads up for www.bmd-certificates.co.uk. Don't bother using them, its cheaper to go to your registry office.
