Talking Who knows a lot about Ka's?

I need someone who knows Ka's inside and out..

Can you clear something up.. do they use a unique gearbox and driveshaft setup? Eg, not just the fiesta stuff?

Also, whats the difference in the Mks?

Any photos of a Ka shell, inparticular the rear would be really handy too.. or any pics without the rear bumper on..

Thanks

Running gear is from a fiesta, inc the rear beam set up. Early versions had the old ohv engine whilst later versions have the duratec.

Loads of info on www.myka.org as mentioned above

Any good ? ? ?

Yeah that's useful. Are you 100% sure the front end is Fiesta? Including gearbox, driveshafts, etc? Would you put money on it?

Neither am I.. It's far too easy for people to state 'facts' on websites (not saying yours weren't correct)..

I'm basically seeing how feasible a rear/twin engined Ka would be. Right now i'm thinking a Focus would be a considerably better idea (for a multitude of reasons), but not as cool.

ka gearbox is an ib5 variant, mk3 fiesta diesel shafts fit fine, rally ka's use them instead of the std ka shafts.

most parts are fiesta/puma etc

Thanks. Do you know if the Ka is hydraulic clutch and/or cable shifted?
