Default Big BIG Thanks to Neil @ Fast Ford !!

Had a wicked day @ Silverstone,

(I know there's another thanks thread but wanted my own cos Neil was an absolute superstar on the day !! )

So Thank you very very much for my Stand Place & lookin after us all !!

True superstar !!

Managed to get the car painted (front doors ) Saturday night by a good friend, then gave it, it's first wash & polish since I've had it .

Even managed to get out on track @ 17:20 wit Cabrioboy & me mate in his company car Mondeo TDi We bought the last bit of time of "Patricks" new owner after the box let go.

Things I realised on track was...........

Budget 205/40/17's do not grip on the front (even tho they was 2 days old)

Michelin Pilot 235/40/17's on the rear felt really nice & give way progressively (except 1 time when I almost touched the grass ) but still didn't grip too much either again 2 days old

EBC Greenstuff pads are crap fitted em Saturday mornin, bedded em in & then Kirstie drove to Ford Fair in the morning & they managed to die within half a lap !! Fade was the word.

BUT, absolutely loved it out on track , so much fun, to be honest, I wasn't too fussed bout the straight bits, used them too cool the car off before I hit the next corner

Car felt really nice, nicely weighty steerin without P.A.S.
and the welded diff didn't help with the car pushin on but then it jus snapped to oversteer and was more controllable !!

So did anyone see my car on track ?? Was late I know or get pic's ??

Plus, is there any track time left for Nat Day ??

P.s. good to see Harvey & Andy out there havin it up, also Ricky in the SEC Drift 3dr havin it out on track !!

That drift black 3dr was jus something else !!

Green stuff pads are shocking! I was talkin to your for a brief time. Was with my mate who has quickest 0-60 foot in 2wd saff. The mercury one. I was parked about 5 cars down from you.

so JB, have you been bitten by the track bug?

do you feel the need to make your car go round a corner quickly rather than the usual antics?

could JB fletch actually adjust his driving?

Jb
I used the ebc yellow stuff pads in my brembo's for combe and snet now and they are good.
yellow stuff is for track use(feel shit when cold tho)
red stuff is for road use over 200hp
green stuff is for road use in light weight vehicles under 200hp, so whoever sold them to you wasnt helpin much mate.

Aaaah, it'll be alright mate.

Just a bit cringeworthy when a session's stopped....couldn't be helped though!

I was WELL pleased with the last session. I have been changing gear FAR to early.

I let loose with a full 128bhp and was proper suprised by the amout of cars i scalped!

Some real decent motors too!

Thanks again Bruuuvvva!

Try em mate, I know ppl moan about ebc but I never had brake fade once at combe or snet. ( but that might be because I was'nt fast enough tho)

Just a wanky oil seal on the box Alan.

Drives fine, selects gear fine, starts and ticks over fine.

Apart from it dumping transmission oil over the tyres, it's fine! lol

It'll be reeeet, i'll have it running tonight or tomorrow i reckon.

I think what Jim is trying to say Jb, is if you do any drifting like antic's at Donnington, you will be black flagged and day over

But saying that been on RSBB this morning and track is full with a reserve list.
