i went out for a blat in an 06 plate supercharged exige last friday, and made a post about it

i fookin want one too

but unfortunatly i dont have 30k spare

i believe the mark 1 elise, is fitted with a rover engine same as early mgf ,,,vvc jobbie..they go very well but my mum had mgf 1996 from new did 3 headgaskets in 34kawsome cars ,better on toyota engines i would think

Early Elise and all MGFs where K-series...

Both use a mix of 1.8 and 1.8vvc

I drove a supercharged exige yesterday!!! great fun.... although lee did one better, he was driving it on thursday.... melted the number plate!

(off topics - roosie, saw you today on the way out, you were parked next to a red bmw, i was in a silver 1 series blatting past... the car looked lovely!!!)

Early ones are rover, later ones are toyota, personally I would only consider the toyota one of the two.

A friend of mine has put a 2.0 Vetec From an Accord Type R in his. Brilliant conversion, goes like the clappers. He got the kit from the States. All he had to find was the engine, box, ecu and loom I think. 220hp and revs to about 9k.

I went round the anglesey circuit with him the other week, dont think he dropped out of the Vtec power band all the way round!

thought they were both elises?

was saying to my mate, the big power cossies may have them on the straights but in the corners those things were just unbelievable! not a lot was keeping up with them!!!

i went out in one yesterday at fordfair and round the bends were truly awesome but not that quick on the straights
