been offered a swap for my s1 for a Lreg m3 coupe in avus blue, looks ok condition wise dont think theres a lot of service history with it tho
says vanos akes a noise for 5 secs on startup but its normal on them?
never had a m3 before so am tempted but im thinking my s1 is worth a little more or more to the point an easier seller too
opinions?

1994 So it will be a 3.0
Vanos problems on the 3.0 is very rare! Most are a bit noisey on startup, I went to look at about 10 before I got my vert! The evo’s are the worst for vanos probs, but they still are not that bad just all the keyboard warriors making them out to be
Check Exhaust Manifold flexi Joint! Nasty job to repair or replace.
General Service history condition...
My Mate Dan has a 3.0 coupe on 165k and it gets abused big time and still faultless!

i got a 3.0 4 dr, what a car, refused to sell it when i got the escossy.
rust on the archs if its not been garaged, a part from that, they are bomb proof. As for money wise, I paid 5.5k for mine with 95k on the clock, fbmwsh and immaculate.
I think the sunroofs are prone to stop working if electric... but thats about it

they dont sell as well as people think they do but they are great cars.
hard to realistically value it but if everything is ok and as it should be you should get 3k for it.suppose it depends how quick you want to get out of the s1 as well....
