After selling my 3 door i have been on the look out for a new car for a bit of fun! I did not want to go the cosworth route once again so have been looking at all sorts and varieties, including Focus rs's,V8 lotus seven reps,Jaguar xkr's,type r subarus,evos,M5's and M3's...you get the gist, basically wanting a toy.
I went out today to look at a couple of the above and spotted a car in a garage that i just had to test drive
After a 30 min drive i got back and bought it instantly and drove it home, chopping the Mrs's Zafira that i drove up there in a deal for it ![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)

Always loved those ![Big Grin](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)
And the neighbours will definitely know when you arrive home and leave now
Never heard a more shouty car than those. Seen a few but in particular one exactly like yours in a traffic jam moving about 10ft forward made a bloody huge roar just to move a few feet and you could hear he wasn't exactly doing a learner move off either!

I drove it 3 hours home including a hour on the M25 at 10-15 mph in 25 degree heat, a bit worrying at the time but it behaved impeccably, and must of got 30 thumbs up in that hour.It has a T5 gearbox but feels so much better than a cosworth box,and to be honest,it felt reliable which i cannot say for my previous cosworths, even the good ones.It does have a stereo but with the windows open in the heat, you try listening to it

But i'll be honest.. the most terrifying car ive been in is a TVR (tuscan) lol..

The one to avoid is the speed 6 engine as these have been known to need rebuilds after 6k
![Surprised](https://passionford.com/forum/images/smilies/bigcry.gif)
They can be bought for escort cosworth money 10k-20k

Mental cars, They sold them originally with four brass handles so if . . . . sorry, when you crashed it the could just bolt them onto the car and lower you into a grave, either way i love them to bits and it would be a fuckin fun way to die

The only issue is my right arm against the door due to my 54" chest but still well driveable and a good reason to now lose weight
