It does this when key in in inj in 1st position also does it when car is running

same thing happened with one of my old cars. ABS would activate all the time when braking, would only be intermittant tho. It was a dodgy sensor. But seeing as a new sensor would be more than i paid for the car, i just pulled all the abs fuses and took the bulb out the dash

Let's hope it doesn't come back Dave

I had this problem for 5 months. With the pump constantly going even if the car was off and not moving... Changed relays/fuses everything and didn't sort it.
Ended up being the wiring loom where it came through the bulkhead. Was rubbing on the metal and got hot and the positive wire latched its'-self to a constant live and ran all the time... Was a nightmare to change but sorted the problem. Also had to changed the ABS pump as it runf or about 3months out of the 5 lol

If the funny pedal feels like its pulsing under your foot then iv had this problem.

its all related to the ABS, it was happening on mine when i had rebuild the front bearing/hubs and there was grease in the teeth of the ABS rings on the front end... removed ABS sensor cleaned end... got air line out and blow the teeth out on the ABS rings problem sorted.

i know that you proberbly wont of touch the ABS when fitting new brakes but just something to think about.

Cheers James.

SO not sure what last night was about? Bloody cossies
Dave..... It will have been an air bubble trapped in the master cylinder assembly.. You have to bleed front and rear even if you have only had the fronts off,as the accumulator will circulate any trapped air as it is pumping up to it`s operating pressure of 28 Bar

What has probably happened overnight is that the air bubble has worked it`s way up into the fluid reservoir and dissipated.

Give the whole system another bleed just to make sure all is ok

bleed the rears first, ignition on, press the pedal slightly, open the bleed nipple and watch the fluid being pumped out by the pump

just make sure you've got someone keeping an eye on teh fluid level in the resivour otherwise you'll have all sorts of problems
