conversion
hi lisa
you need the following mk5 parts:-
tailgate - the glass is the same and can be re-used
rear lenses x 2
rear light back repair panels x 2 or a complete rear panel
(the repair panels are what the rear lenses mount onto, they are used by bodyshops if just one side of the rear is damaged around the lights, they are still available from ford)
my new race car that i am building was originally a mk6 shell that was converted to mk5. the conversion was done before i got the shell but unpainted it was easy to see what had been done.
i hope this helps, pm me for more details.
good luck

you can swap the front over easily, bonnet, bumper and lights.
but the rear, you cant just swap tailgates as the mk5 is slightly shorter.
you will need new rear wings, a lot of hastle, and if you want it done properly you might aswell get some proppa metal wings, as they also go above the boot line on the cossy.
also the doors and wing mirrors are different too.
