come as standard in a few of the vauxhalls we put 300-400 through the f28 (gartrag calibra 4x4 box converted to fwd) without to many drama's and some of the lads are now running around 500bhp

slicks 1.7 60 foot going on to a 11.4 without any dramas

but thats my only experiance of them never in ford form

I am pretty sure Euan and Rod run Gartrag boxs from a Jag, they run an adaptor plate so the bell housings make up. If its a good deal go for it mate, can allways sell it on.

I think GARTRAG is a joint venture between GARTRAC (the makers of RWD Escort Conversions) and GETRAG (the makers of transmission systems).

gartrac do diffs and loads more for escorts they built works mk2 escort shells,but bitd they did do sierra shells, it got confusing when the shell was gartrac and the box was getrag

great box apparently aly off here with 700bhp fiesta,has been running the same one in his track 3-door for years with no issues,and that car gets punished
