BigNige,
I take it you already have an AOL supplied router or something like that at the moment, one that plugs into the wall (RJ-11 connection) and at the back of your PC (either RJ-45 or USB).
A Wireless DSL Router will have a cable coming out of it which you plugs into the wall where the AOL one used to go.
The router will make the ADSL line available over a wireless network.
Make sure YOU DON'T get a Wireless Access point, because this has nothing to do with ADSL and only provides wireless access into an existing wired network.
Once you have the Wireless DSL router up and running, you should be able to get onto the net using a wireless card in your pc/laptop.
Note: Check with AOL that you can actually do this, not just contractually (who cares about that), but technically, there may be router settings that AOL won't provide you with, hence preventing you from using the router altogether.
If you are not sure about all this, it may be best calling DSL Source (www.dslsource.co.uk) on 0870 600 33 32, they will more likely than not know about the specifics of AOL, etc... and will be able to advise on the best hardware to get.
I say this, cos it may be necessary to get a wireless router than plugs into the box you already have rather than straight into the wall, etc...
Good luck - I dunno what level of technical knowledge you have, so I tried to explain this in layman's terms, it that not good enough let me know and I'll try again

Also, just found this (bored at work
) you might find useful.

Do a search in their Wireless / WiFi forum for AOL.
Note: That AOL do not support Wireless, so calling them about it will be pointless...
