All there is to know about MS:

1) It works. As in successfully runs an engine, quite well when mapped properly.
2) Most of the bling features are very primitive- some work, most dont.

The End.

You're not risking an engine. Sure, assembling your own ECU when all you've got is a 100 watt soldering iron sticking out of your arse isn't necessarily the best idea, but purchasing a ready-made ECU that has been soak-tested is no different than buying a.n.other aftermarket ECU.

PWM idle and boost control are two things that spring to mind.. i'm sure they'll work, eventually. It's not a criticism of the ECU, it can control an engine very well, but I personally think the two old cunts who are responsible for it (by name, at least) should wake up a bit - redesign the core of it, make it easier for good people (like phil@extra) to make it work properly and spend less time arsing about with bullshit featuresets.

Only since they made it speed-sensitive.
