Default Painting a cooker.....

Right, just fitted a new kitchen into my house. The white oven and hob seperates looked just fine in the old white kitchen, but now i've got a stone floor, dark units, a black worktop and silver appliances, it kinda sticks out like a sore thumb. Really can't justifying spending another 500 odd quid on replacing a perfectly working cooker just because it is the wrong colour

Do you reckon i could spray it in high temp paint? Thinking silver Sourcing some new decals would be no problem, but I'm just a bit worried about the heat/durability. Would that high temp paint stand up to it ok?

Thanks in advance

Rich

I done an exhaust manifold heatsheild with spray paint that can withstand upto around 450°C and its meant to spray BBQs with. It is still very good, the heats not bothered it at all Probably a slightly different case with a cooker though, esp as most of its plastic anyway

I got it from Do It All

can't you buy just a top hob - the glass sort if electric or a correct coloured gas one and then just spray the cooker as this will be less subject to pots and pans and splilage?
