bt says up to 8 meg whatever that means?

well thats not far off, its nearly 7meg your getting according to that test.

Most people never get the exact amount as they just tell you its UP TO whatever speed.

cool thanks for the advise, some times it dont even get to a 1000 kb/s is that due to busy times ect

that looks good mate,,,, but these sites never really give accurate speed tests..

i usually show about 4 meg but using my test equiptment (bt adsl eng) shows 7.6 meg

you can usually log into your roter and will show you your speed too...
