suggestions with a split water hose - cause? pics included
people;
2wd saff
i was out earlier and was giving the car some beans, heard a little pop/ bang and thought a stone had hit the underside, thought nothing of it
now the car has emptied its water out everywhere! - traced the fault to a split water hose (See pics)
obviously the pressure has built so much its caused the hose to split, but what would cause that? i changed the header tank cap last week as the old one wasnt sealing properly
i've previously changed all the coolant so i dont think there is a blockage in the radiator
any suggestions to what would cause this?
cheers, matt

as allready said above change it for a new one & see how it goes
water cooling the turbos seem to put a lot of strain on the cooling systems & dosent take long to find the weak spots

Dont panic folks!
All this talk of head gaskets is getting at bit over the top IMO.
change the hose and see what happens.
