In holland you see the escort cossie's going down 10-15k but this was the same with the 3 door 10 years ago and they have been doubled in price at the moment a decent 3 door will cost 10-12K

I think average and good examples are going down but truely mint examples are still holding their money.

Hope they don't come down too much thinking of sell mine later in the year might be better of putting it back to standard and selling all the fancy bits seperately.

I reckon all the RS's are overpriced anyways! But people are/were prepared to pay a premium for them.

It's because the amount of "Reliable" Jap motors coming over here and the fact it's a new "craze" and people chopping in there Vauxhalls and Fords for them! You think in the last 4 years the amount of Jap thats come over and who you know used to have a Ford / vauxhalls who has got a Jap car now?

Plus Jap cars are more reliable and cheaper in parts!

Even my self has had enough of Fords and after 3 stage 3 cossies decided to get a Scooby as better handling!

Don't shoot me down to much pmsl!

Cheers!

jap cars cars coming over etc etc are not a new thing though. I had a jap import about 6 years ago.

I think its the fact that in terms of reliability/convienence due to the age of RS's now (apart from the focus) they are now like looking after a small child and people cant be arsed or have the time. So it means that you HAVE to want one and either be a little clued up on them OR have deep pockets

they have come down but i think this is due to the seller needing the cash asap, every couple of days you see price drops or make me an offer etc etc. i cant see many more cosworths comming to ireland somehow anymore, as our goverment has based the import tax on co2 emmissions now, for eg i paid 4950.00 euro to import my escos now its 6000.00 euro a 2wd saff was 1800.00euro now its hitting 3000.00 euro and this is just to get an irish number plate....

Are you still trying to sell the saff Paul, or just waiting to see how things go and how you feel??...

Ive bought a house Pete but i also get to keep the Saph but im taking it off the road after Ford Fair maybe ND until ALL the point come off. But i fancy an Escort Cossie as a project to do in the mean time which would mean PXing the Saph again one needing a bit of work.
