Wouldn't touch a Vauxhall with a brage pole.
I know a several people at work that have them (Astra and Vectras mostly) as company cars and nobody is happy. And all prefered the Ford equivalent they had previously.
Issues include:
Dodgy electrics windows and locks
Aircon problems
Crank pulleys
Other mechanical problems that i can't remember at this moment.
Unrefined
And shit service standards.
Based on this i'd always go for the Ford equivalent, eg C-Max or S-Max with the Focus ST engine in.

C max is too slow and does not look that good in my opinion.
Only need the back seat for kids so should be ok.
And i am quite impressed by the GSI looks, although slighlty worried by the list of problems that someone just put up!!!!
GSI are still lower tax, its the new VXR that are band G.
But 7.4 to 60 sounds fun and with a re-map (stu or courtney) will be quite lively.
Thinking black with recaro's, light tinted windows and my private plate

Ive just left after 3yrs working for Vauxhall...the GSI Zafira's, as mechanic28, dont seem to have any major issue's. They are mainly based on the Astra which tbh is quite a reliable car, both G and H models. Vauxhall Vectra's on the other hand never seem to be right...think the name Vectra is cursed, probably why they are scrapping it now
