First was a 1.3 fiesta ghia, but engine died so I bought a 1.1 azura, then my mate threatened to scrap his xr2i so I got that as a donor car for the 1.1, works going slow but it's getting there

Fiat UNO 60s with ELECTRONIC IGNITION.
1.1 but went really well, handled crap but was reliable, didn't rust as bad as people claimed.
Got written off 2 days after I had it ( not my fault) but I listened to my fucking idiot father who told me I HAD to spend the write off money on repairing my car or they could come and take it out of my bank account and I would be left with nothing.
Paid Ł900 for the car,got paid Ł1250 out on it but spent that repairing it,fucking joke.
Should have driven it with just 2 doors bolted on for ten months til the not ran out and had Ł1250 to get a new car.
Hindsight eh?
Next was an UNO turbo which I adored but it did break down a lot, then a mk1 golf gti which was great until I left it to a "mate" to do work on,was never right again.
Sold it and bought my first ford, series one turbo, piece of shit rotbox, then a mk1 xr2,great car,box went,a series of other cars, mainly vw which were ok but then another s1 which I loved, stupidly sold for an frst then saph cos at 23,first rwd car stage one,as said above you quickly learn to drive then!!!!

1993 Charcoal Grey K reg Nissan Micra 1.3 when I passed my test in 2007.

I don't think I could've had a more embarrassing first car unless it was pink!

1litre mk2 fiesta.

Payed Ł50, came with 10months tax and MOT.

After 9 months the rear suspension came through the arches so it dragged its arse to the scrappy!

Mk2 Escort 1.3 GL 2-door.
Transplanted a 1600 engine and made it more fun.
Then put some Zakspeed arches on it and changed the colour from metallic blue to metallic black. Then killed the engine and sold it for almost nothing. Doh!

I didn't find a 3i much quicker tbh!!!!
The UNO turbo though, just WOW,no handling but good brakes, had some great races in that, all illegal street racing of course.
Nearly lapped a boy in the kings way who laughed at it in his manta gte,he never laughed much after that.
I think there were about 5 or 6 of them out one night all different colours, some nice ones back in the day.
Miss mine every day.

Really? I swear my Uno had about 50bhp, and the 3i was 105

My old man had a turbo Uno (1.3 mk1), was pretty damn quick. He took my grandmother out in it once, and that was enough for her to say she's never getting in that car ever again, lol
