If I don't get my hands on one that would be fantastic . Let me know what you want for it, if I manage to get one beforehand I will let you know. Need one asap if anyone local has one though, might finally get the Escort running

I was under the impression that all ford 4 cyl EDIS modules were the same? with the only different versions being for different number of cylinders - IE, Edis4, Edis6 and Edis8

Probably no help to you tho I understand

All ford Escorts, fiestas, mondeo's with a zetec engine from about 1992 to 1999

At the end of the day, all it does is take a signal from the crank sensor into the module, send the PIP to the ECu to tell the ECu its receiving an input from the CPS and the ECU returns the SAW signal depending on the ignition map and tells the EDIS to fire whicever coil bank (1+3 or 2+4) respectively of engine position

is it specificly for the escos then?

can you not raid the scrappies for one of another car? it should just say "edis 4" on the side and virtually every ford will have one from around the past 10 years if it's petrol engined

dojj- actually you won't find a single EDIS module in a production car in the last 10 years.. they stopped using them in about 94/95 iirc as they went inside the ecu instead. (apart from the esc cos perhaps)
