that car used to be own my a bloke i know from Hatfield .going back 10 years i reckon . he must have had it off the road for a good couple of years . he had it all repainted etc then put it on the road , then the engine blew up and the thing was off the road for at least another year while it was been put together again lol
looks like that has had some serious work done now .
the golden rule with buying a turbo is take some with you that knows what they are looking for . ive done this and turned away from a couple of motors that i thought were fine .................... till my mate pointed out a couple of things .

The main problem with these cars is rust, check all the usual places like behind sunroof, battery tray, inner and outer seals, arches, rear chassis legs and floor pans.
It took me ages to find my one people discribe there car as "the one to have" when you get there its a real shitter makesure you check every thing is as it should be, look for smoke blue indicates its burning oil, black shows its running rich, if you dont know much about cars try take someone with you that does, if the car is mint then its priced right.
good luck mate

I've seen this car in the flesh, it's a real minter!! Worth 4k all day.
Nevertheless, check the battery tray, sills, boot floor, chassis legs, sunroof, fusebox area etc for corrosion. Check for blue smoke on the overrun, white smoke on start up or on boost, knocks, rattles, shit falling off etc etc etc.

Hmmmmmmm, 2 years ago, ish? At a show. Can't remember which one.
Keep your ears peeled on the test drive, and and rattles, knocks or hesitation should be considered bad.
Where abouts are you? Could one of the local PF RS Trouble experts maybe hop along with you and say 'Aye' or 'Naw'

I doubt it though, the car looked a peach. And with these cars, it's the shell that you need to worry about. Engines can be swapped for cheap, shells are a bit more expensive to sort out

Just take a look in the Resto forum for evidence of that
