I have 5 belhousing castings that machining, I don't have any drawings but do have a pattern. Anyone help with this???

i think you are looking at quite a bit to machine them, from the pics there doesnt seem to be anything obvious to clock them from and without a fixture or a drawing its gonna mean quite a bit of time on a CMM.

Through work i use a company called Arrowsmith in Coventry for quite alot of our subcon machining, might be worth a call.

only people i know with a cnc are chesmen engineering, though i dont know if they can help or not

Theres a Bloke in portsmouth who can do that for you Martin. Can get his number if you want, i know its a bit of a trip from yours though.

hi martin, the man you need to speak to is steve bones. owner of fabrication technic in buckingham. if he,s good enough to build the foggy petronas racing bike frames, i,m sure this would be piss easy! also a dab hand at any custom rads, tanks,coolers, exhausts or the like!! his no is 07976732605, and tell paul the plasterer gave ya his no!!!

James Engineering would be a good compay to use, if you supply them with the machined one aswell they will be able to machine it the same.

You could try ttvracing.com Martooon. They are always busy but are very good and well priced. They are based just up the road from Ipswich, but do a lot of work by mail order.

Absolutely no problem, just send them to me and I will get it done .

Also, it isn't by a motor racing company, so they won't "steal" the idea / design .

if you get stuck , let me know as i have afew connections with CNC machines available, resonably priced too normally as i write their programs is it just 5 or a possibility of more in the future?

Yep , mainly round bar we work with . Im sure we could do it but it would take a long time and would be far to costly

We could do them no problem martin you supply the pattern casting and we would do our own drawings on the cmn and we will quote you
