mike, its already spoken for, 1st thing a certain sailor asked for.

i think its an absoutely awesome box, very very tight, never missed a gear, easy to select gears, not movement once in gear at all.

only thing is it sound like you have a nackered box, which i thought i did, until i looked threw the receipt

as i was told that it had a new gearbox in it.

still not decided yet, but certain bits are spoken for if i do, (i.e front hubs )it all depends on the insurance, and what they let me have the car back for.

i sometimes wonder if you're half man half woman mate as you are one of the most indecisive fuckers on here

you're wondering which is the best box so surely its the tremec if it can handle huge bhp?! at least then its fit and forget and not change again if spec changes.

clearly you're not shy of a few bob so whats an extra £500 for peace of mind?!

Yeah, if I can put up with you, you should be able to put up with a bit of gearbox noise .

dingy, had a bernie kit, not a quiafe kit as far as i know.

might be wrong.

good thing with a t5 kit is its a direct replace, the tremec is not, although with work it does fit, but its certainly not a bolt on item.

i.e drive prop modded, custom gearbox craddle, hydraulic conversion, custom bellhousing, custom clucth, gearstick tunnel exit modded, as the box sits further forward, then you need to fit a quickshift to move the stick back to the original place.

Think thats about all

500 quid is the diffrence between the quaife and a couple stack gauges or just the tremec box

the spec wont go more than 450ish.. its a road going cossie and i find anymoe than 450 is pointless when you cant use it

have you taken those fucking stripes off yet? Forget gearboxes and if you must concentrate on a box, get the tremec

im sure he can confirm, but i think its something bernie has designed rather than simply installing a quiafe kit into the T5.

seems a bit of a farse to call it a bernie box, if its purely a quiafe kit fitted into a t5.

its a bit like me installing a harvey engine in my car, and calling it a RP motorsport engine.

As i've said im sure its a CTS specific kit. Could be completely wrong though

where is the penguin when you need him? steveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?
