Then I'd leave it as is mate. Enjoy the thing, it's THE nicest Saff around! Get your aviators on, some Ultravox on the CD and get out in the sun and find some good roads!!

I'm betting with 370bhp+ at the wheels there isn't much on the road with 4 wheels and a non gay looking bloke sat on it that'll keep up.

Enjoy it for the summer, before you contemplate pulling it all apart again to fit some slightly bigger turbo for 20bhp more.....

which gt30 you talking about?

an internally wastegated gt3071 will only realistically give you another 40bhp on what you currently have, plus slightly better response

gt3076 is enough for more than 500 ponies but generally theyre external wastegate meaning a larger money outlay.

my mates gt3071 pulsar goes lovely

if you got the cash i say go for it

PS why'd you sell the Evo?

Personally unless your going to jump upto a big GT30 its not worth it.

Nutter runs a 205 block with a liner or two in his 3 door, I have no idea how reliable it has been though.

Next thing though once you up the power is can the running gear handle it ?

Do it!! Been in 2 gt30 equipped cars - Lloyd's stupid mk4 escort and a 500 brake scoob - and they are mental. I won't be messing about with a t38 or anything other than a big externally gated gt30 when my little t34.63 lets go. If the block lets go, there's plenty of 200's about still.

If its what you want then do it, it sounds like you have already decided and are just looking for confirmation

Its not too much hassle to swap a block if the worst does happen.

Go for it mate.

How much for your T38 then?
