u need a 9 volt battery (the square looking ones)and a voltmeter, but the volt meter to check continuaty (sp)then but the battery across terminals 85 and 86 relay will click then get someone to put the voltmeter across terms 30 and 87 if all is good u should get continuaty!

that sounds complicated but ill give it a shot i think its more likely that its a relay in the fuse box in the wrong place but i realy dont no . does anyone know if these have ignition relays or is it all done in the ecu?

seeing if the realays are in the right place isnt going to tell you if they work..you need to do as above.. ahve you checked that the spare relays your using are not faulty?

had this on my rst, took days to find it, everything tied up. even the break out box readings.

fault was a short circuit from the coil to the ecu on the spark recgonition sensor wire.

there should be a small green wire coming from the coil, runs round the front past the lights, rad and back up to the fuse box.

if u can check this wire is not broken/shorting. it could be ur problem

check the wiring from the dizzy plug, just disconnect everything and un tape all the dizzy wiring to make sure there isnt a broken wire, you have to go through alot fo the loom and keep doing continuity tests to make sure

thats the only thing i can think is its going to be a broken wire somewhere wither dizzy side or coil side

the coil wires run from the fuse back to the front cross member in front of the rad, so you may have to take the bumper, rad and intercooler off to get to the wiring to check it properly aswell

it does because i cut it because for some reason it wasnt long enough .anyway when u try and solder a wire and it wont does that mean the wire useless?
