Is your rail alloy?

Can do you a billet rail that has threaded ends if you want to do it properly.

Price please

To fit eec4 inlet (looks to have 2wd and 4wd mounts but would rather use the 2wd) and threaded suitable for -6 adaptors.

Cheers,

WD

Yea the rail is alloy and the ends are threaded but the thread is so coarse it leaks.

Surely you'd add some PTFE to the threads as a matter of course?!?!? I couldnt see it leaking after that??

Could you not use a copper washer between the fitting and the rail or a dowty seal?? Welding it has to be a last resort.

Interesting - what should you use instead? (if anything - sure my defi instructions said to put teflon tape around the sensor for my Fuel pressure sensor to ensure there are no leaks??)

Now I just need to pull my finger out and put the engine in and then bolt all the bling on

Interested in the comments on PTFE and fuel - I thought the top goodridge hoses lined with PTFE and that PTFE in general was good with petrochemicals ?

Cheers,

Trouble is Paul, you miss the point... It's not cheep-like-de-budgies . People quite happily buy shite off ebay purley because it is cheap , look at XS/ airtec etc ..

I have given up trying to tell people that if you buy cheap you pay 3 times more in the long run trying to sort it out

Exactly Wil

when will people learn probs after there car has either broken down or at worst burst into flames

If my 500 had cheap rails and cheap fittings i would have been taking it home in a bag after croft and my little fire , buy quality and buy once
