Default £95 burger king 'bling burger'

The world's most expensive burger - flame grilled Wagyu Beef, topped with white truffles in an Iranian saffron and truffle bun - is to go on sale at a fast food restaurant.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2146...rger'.html

however you look at it, that's an expensive burger. i'm all for a quality burger with superb fries, onion rings, shake - the full works

what's the best burger meal that you've had, where from, and how much?

i had a belter of a massive burger in a restaurant below the empire state building, it was about £8 i think!

also i love the "all-the-way" burgers in the OK diners on the A1 (those 1950's american retro styley chromed-up restaurants)

All very well but can you imagine the staff at your local burger place being alowed anywhere near a £95 burger?
My local MacD's can't even get a standard order right.

I always wondered about these OK diners. Are they expensive then mate? Any good? Ive always wanted to pop in, but didnt want to look a cheap skate when i walked straight back out if its too expensive!

IIRC its about £8-9 for the top of the range burger. others are round about £6-7

their hot dogs are very good too, and their bacon butties and stuff. not the usual cheap salmanella and chips.

and its real coffee, with free refills.

its almost going on a long trip up the A1 just to go and have some grub in there!

not much more than the burger-king shite, and your getting quality grub.

they have got slower making the meals lately though.

for the local people that know it, it was Steve's Burger Bar, Hayes End, Middlesex. i used to have the New Yorker....was lush and massive! But its long gone now that place

Big Mouth Burger Bar in Peacehaven, Sussex. great burgers and awesome milkshakes.

now me and Jade get burgers Delivered from "The Village Kebab & Pizza" Northolt, Middlesex.

other than that cant knocker a Whopper from BK.

You cant really compare burgers.

When you get one from the local takeaway, pissed and lairy after waiting outside for an hour in the queue they taste awesome.
Go back during the day sober and they're nasty.

Its like Kebabs. As much about the situation as the grub.

You cant beat home made burgers, on the BBQ, stack em up high with plenty of cheese and sauce. Nice and they are cheap. Best of both worlds

had a jalapeno burger in Tootsies today which was quite good - 7/10. the burger itself was a bit dry and overcooked, but generally not a bad meal

Bollocks!
A subway melt is about 5 quid for a footlong, then add double cheese and meat and it would still be under a tenner!

(My missus was assistance manager at one, and has confirmed that. That the only extras you can add to the actual footlong without ordering something else seperate)

the burger inquuestion s FUCK ALL like normal beef though, look at the histort of kobe beef, the feed the cattle GOOD food and beer for the perfect taste rather than feeding them old ground up bits of cows head

getting a decent piece of beef is important for the taste of it,,,,,, though gonna be WASTED in a burger with mayo,,,, just like the angus burger,,,,, that AINT actually REAL angus steak but a relative of it,,,,,, tastes fuck all like it should too

be tempted to try just for the sake og it but there is better places to get a meal for that price and id rather have it on a plate rather than in a bun

seriously kobe beef is ment to be the NUTS...... though ive never tried it yet
