Cosworth engine into an Audi A4.....Hard or not??
Been looking at the Audi.........
And keep thinking about sticking a YB into it as it all ready has the tunnel to take the prop ect.....
Would it be a big job getting the lump to fit ect ect...
Just a thought but it could be a goer

1.8T's are good for silly power and the 4WD system is strong as fook

any conversion such as this will be hard work with fabrication required on many parts but the theory is the same as with any conversion. we had an a4 but i never actually looked under the bonnet or floor with this sort of idea in mind . ive had my bmw and my celica both fitted with cossie conversions and the same sort of problems happened with each, sump clearance, crossmember, manifold clearances, mounting brackets etc but nothing cant be overcome.

Just fancied RWD'ing the Audi Estate........ and why not use a YB
OR.....
How about using the 1.8 Vag Turbo but making it RWD....would this be an easier option.
At the moment the 1.8 NA engine is FWD but engine is in the RWD way.......Transverse

Reyland has the Audi 1.8T Engine in his Yellow MG. So, I assume he knows a thing or two when it comes to this engine.

The audi lump is vastly superior to the cossie power depending, I thought about this engine a while back, 1.8T.

In all fairness to Tabethas comments both my Audi's have survived me and I've been told by people I drive like a hooligan, which I think is a little harsh.

Wonder if its Karls 3DR
He did say to me one day waay back, if someone offered him 20k he'd have to consider it
Unfortunately I didnt have 20k in my pocket at that particular time
And before anyone contacts Karl for his car, this was about 8 years ago and I'm guessing things have moved on since then

just out it and get an s4, or keep it and fit an s4 lump
tho if you did go cosworth, make sure you mount it somewhere over and behind the rear wheels unlike audi!
