I cant tell the difference between a 5 and a S at a quick glance anyway TBH especially in the font of that bike plate!

I found that very easy to read, thus disproving your own little rant.

it wasn't a rant. you should hear me when i really get going

there's that thing that went around where hardly anything in a paragraph was spelt correctly, but you could still read and understand it. the human brain is awesome

Suzuki are bringing out an injected 450 DRZ sm at the start of 2009. Should be a bit better than the carbed 400.

Used to race MOTO X on the 450 Honda's last one i had was a 2005, awsome fun but got too dangerous in the end, never had a go on a super moto one but taking the moto x bike on the road was awsome fun, the low gearing is awsome for hill will beat most things of a steep hill.

i have a 2005 ktm 250 exc two stroke, its a factory road legal enduro/motocross bike. i passed my test last month and it costs me Ł250 a year fully comp.
its right laugh, wheelies for fun. i love it. just looks like a motox bike with a little plate on the back . the gearing is slightly longer than the motocross version, thats it !.
it turns lots of heads lol

The best Super Motard is the Aprillia SXV 550 - a v-twin, weighs 128kg, revs to 12500rpm, makes 70bhp as standard and sounds like a 2-stroke on the over-run . Only problem is that it costs almost Ł7k, but is basically a ready to race bike .

depends what you mean by best mike, that's too hardcore for everyday usage. the new aprilia dorsoduro looks good though as a useable supermoto

yes, but it's also road legal for day and night, has a bigger tank, more comfortable when out all day, can go longer without needing a rebuild etc, etc.

if you just want a toy for an hours blast, then yours would be ace. but it's not something that you would want to ride to work everyday or go further

The SXV has lights .

I don't think it is that highly stressed that it requires constant rebuilds - in fact I haven't heard of any reliability issues?

However, I get you point about range, as it has a tiny tank and is limited to about 60 miles if used properly (takes me back to my 21bhp TS125X days) .

I personally wouldn't want to use a bike in any other way given the amount of numpty car drivers on the road - quiet sunny evenings after everyone is tucked up in front of the TV is where it is at .

The fact that the gearing limits it to 110mph though, also limits it's use.

has anything been done to the suspension on the crf to make it more suitable for road riding, or is it just a wheel change?

depends on the spec of the suspension, ive got a full ohlins set up which is awsome off road and fine for the road, but you could get away with adjusting the existing suspension
