The best Super Motard is the Aprillia SXV 550 - a v-twin, weighs 128kg, revs to 12500rpm, makes 70bhp as standard and sounds like a 2-stroke on the over-run . Only problem is that it costs almost £7k, but is basically a ready to race bike .
