Default Fiesta RST Problem

Wondering if anyone has any ideas about a prob I had with my car....Basically it was held in 5th at highish speed (nothing stuipd) for a min or 2, I let off the throttle, put my foot down again & nothing happened! Revs/speed didn't increase. Was almost as tho the throttle cable had broken or it had stalled (which it hadn't). Dropped it into 4th, still the same. Had slowed right down to about 30...put it in 3rd & all of a sudden it was back to normal!
It was fine after this but I'm worried there's obviously something not right.
It had a chip done for it about 3 months ago & it's got 2 stage boost, was only running 7psi when this happened.
Any ideas would be much appreciated! Thanks muchly

Never experienced it myself but there are loads of possibilities, maybe loosing crank signal etc.

cheers mate. I just spoke to my mate who's a mechanic & he mentioned same thing. Will get a new one....as long as it doesn't cost an arm & a leg!
