Just came out of the shooting range, been having fun there, aced all the pistol stages and all of the shotgun one's My gun skills are nearly full




Fook, push bike task, can;t remember that! where is that at the beginning? Dave, get a feel for the city your in, you need to get round it pretty quick sometimes, explore and check stuff out, there are loads of stuff you can do, doing the missions does help and progresses you through the game, it tells the story if you like. But you can still have fun and fook around the city too, i.e gym, pimpin, gambling, clubs, pubs, playing pool for cash etc etc etc....

But as Steve said originally, dont go mad and try n build up loads of land for yourself, you loose it again once you get to the second island...

Yup, everything I mentioned above you can do, and also go buy guns and stuff, but I am guessing you don't have much money to your name at the mo, so that might not be an option. Best to kill a few people rob there money (hookers are a good one if you can find them, they tend to have a bit more cash ) and also nick peoples handguns, opposing gangs are a good choice.

I know when I started out I went just down the block to the gym a lot, built up CJ's muscles and stamina and it was soo much better for hand to hand combat, worth doing mate Check the map you get with the game for locations on where shops are like ammu nation, the gambling place, the pubs etc and go have some fun iirc the pub is just at the end of your street and the gym just round the block

GurnE- Yea, loads around, but the F40 thing is way better

MrManc- you get to have a race with them later, they hard to keep the front wheel down when launching.

Dave- You cant go in everywhere from the start. Most clothes shops, pubs, clubs, etc wont be accesible to you yet. Im way thru the game and still cant get in em all.

Adam- Theres an AK47 round too later on. There 4 different guns overall till u done in the range.
You mentioned gun skills nearly at max? For what guns? Every gun has a different skill bar, and once you at maximum (hotman) for that gun you get a new skill, like being able to fire 2 guns at once etc.

ANYONE- Im stuck on the Casino Heist shit! Got the passcard, and Woosie said once i got it to contact him (as done all the other missions that go with it), how do i? I was expecting him to call or summat but no, and hes not at the Casino...

Done all the pimping missions now too, now thew hos pay ME. Pimping missions pay well actually after a few, and they dead easy, tho maybe not on the 1st Island as everyone shoots at you there

FPMSL, I found one the first time I got busted in the police station shower room!! Never laughed as much as I did when I was beating coppers to death with a big double-ender....u have to wonder about the programmer's frame of mind!!

Just been in to my local Tesco, i swear they had like 10 copies on the shelf yesterday, now sold out again!

You may have to do a couple of missions but I got in most places early on

Can only go into wanky Binco, SubUrban, and ProLaps pretty early on, Zip once you on the 2nd main island, Victim (first time you get proper expensive clothes!) once you in Los Veturas, and i STILL cant get into Didier Sachs.

Barbers and Tatoo places are all available from nearly the start it seems.

And yea, can go to a few pubs/clubs at the start, but theres a lot more which i understand you can go in, oneday...

How long till you get to go to the next Island. I've done all the RC plane missions and garage missions. Just doing the blind chinese bloke missions. (you can punch him and he doesn't realise its you )

Jus thought id do a quick update...

Played it some b4 went to sleep last nite (bad idea if you want ANY sleep, trust me ) and got a LOT further.

GurnE- You were right about the SAM site thing, annoying that it dont mention to shut em down, as it does with the later mission to steal the harrier!

Done all the flying ones, and a final one for the Mafia bloke, AND you get to go back to LIBERTY CITY! (Ie the place in the first PS2 GTA!) You get a private jet and sly back there for a mission in the big Resteraunt on the corner of the hill in the Mafia area, have to go in there and kick some ass Its covered in snow outside there too, looks smart.

Finally let me do the Casino robbery mission with Woosie, was piece of piss really, and now im back in Los Santos
Own MaddDoggs mansion and its also a recording studio for MaddDoggs comeback shit.
You also got a fully armed Harrier, a crane helicopter, and a jetpack to always use at the abandoned airfield you use now AND the airfield gets you income.
Sweet of whatever his name, CJs brother, is out of jail and all the missions now seem to be getting grove park back on the map, so bacisly its time to REALLY take the terrortory back, so back to running the streets with AKs and hanging out the window of lowriders with Mac10s

Its not easy tho, mainly as Sweets been coming along on the missions and hes shit
The one im stuck on, called "Grove4Life" you and sweet have to take over 4 terrortorys, one after each other, all of Idlewood, and tho i could do it easy, and tho sweets got a AK47 but barely kills anyone he dont take hits, BUT you can be damn sure before you take all 4 he will wonder into the road and get killed by a speeding car
I tried 4 times and every time i took 3 then he was run down

Grove Park now run most of the place again as its back to the good old gang warfare again (DONT take over terrortory unless you need to, youl jus be wasting your time). This time i been doing it with a full team rather than on own like i used to, they crap at fighting but they good cannon fodder

i was just driving around the mountain in the botom left corner of the map and on the summit is a parachute... first i gave base jumping a go then i drove back to the airport, gotin a jet went as high as i could and did a free fall

Now just got all the jumps, tags, etc to do, an for that, fuck it, lets cheat...

Jus gotta find out the cheats, and a cheat map would be good too...

ALSO... On the stats screen, its got progress with girlfriends, it mentions one called Michelle? Who that? I not met her? Thats not the crazy mexican piece who you was with for a bit is it? So who is it then? Im with the bird who wants to do drive bys, im with the bird with the double ender, so where this other piece?

56% and its complete, inc doing all the pimp missions and car/bike/boat/plane driving tests, so in reality i reckon could do it in 50% tops.

Then again been near that % for loads of missions
